Who is eligible?

CED Fast Forward Challenge is for businesses who, as of April 1, 2019:

  1. Are incorporated in Canada.
  2. Have been in existence for less than three years.
  3. Are registered with the Registraire des entreprises du Québec.
  4. Have at least two shareholders.
  5. Belong to people aged 18 to 39.
    (i.e., at least 50% of the company’s voting shares are held by a person or persons between the ages of 18 and 39)
  6. Have significant participation by engineering graduates or students enrolled in engineering programs.
    (i.e., at least 25% of the company’s voting shares are held by one or more people either studying engineering [bachelor’s or master’s degree, or PhD] at a recognized university in Canada or who graduated from one of these programs within the past 10 years at a recognized university in Canada or who has been granted a Canadian equivalency following graduation from a university in one of these programs)
  7. Are based in Quebec.
    (i.e., its main facility is in Quebec,and it carries out activities in the province)
  8. Are proposing, as part of the Challenge, an innovation that has reached a technology readiness level (TRL) of at least Level 6.
    (i.e., have a prototype being tested in an operational environment or a simulated laboratory)
