In effect until March 31, 2013, the Roadmap for Canada’s Linguistic Duality Economic Development Initiative aims to foster the economic development of official-language minority communities (OLMCs) through a range of activities including innovation, entrepreneurship, partnership and economic diversification.
For this initiative, the Agency has been allocated an additional $10.2 million over five years to increase the activities it already undertakes in support of Quebec’s English-speaking minority communities.
Am I eligible?
Your organization or enterprise may be eligible for this initiative if it falls within one of the following client categories, and if the project is carried out:
1 Budgets permitting, projects may be funded within RCMs whose English-speaking community represents less than 5% of the total population. However, it should be noted that priority shall be given to NPOs in the Greater Montréal area and in RCMs whose English-speaking community accounts for at least 5% of the total population.
