Do you own a tourist establishment?
The Agency provides support for existing hotel establishments whose projects improve the quality of tourist accommodations so as to enhance and modernize infrastructures, facilities and equipment.

Eligible clients
Establishments (including cottages) with more than 6 units intended exclusively for tourism.
- Tourist accommodation establishments in the Montreal, Quebec City and Gatineau census metropolitan areas (CMAs) are not eligible for assistance from the Agency under the tourist accommodation component.
- Tourist accommodation establishments are eligible in a municipality with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants and in one of the following 7 regions: Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Côte-Nord, Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine, Mauricie, Nord-du-Québec and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, or in one of the following 21 regional municipal counties (MRCs): La Vallée-de-la-Gatineau, Papineau, Pontiac, Charlevoix-Est, Charlevoix, Les Etchemins, L’Islet, L’Amiante, Montmagny, Nicolet-Yamaska, L’Érable, Asbestos, Le Haut-Saint-François, Le Granit, Matawinie, Montcalm, D’Autray, Antoine-Labelle, Argenteuil, Le Haut-Saint-Laurent and Acton.
Eligibility criteria
To qualify, your tourist accommodation project must satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
- the establishment must be open at least five months of the year;
- the establishment must already welcome or target tourists outside Quebec;
- the project must be intended to improve, modernize or add accommodations to an existing establishment.
Required information
Your application for financial assistance must also provide information about the following:
- with the exception of Nord-du-Québec, the proximity of your tourist accommodation to a major and recognized tourist attraction;
- an increase in the number of tourists from outside Quebec, in their spending and in their length of stay;
- the impact on competition.
Funding
- Repayable contribution.
- Maximum rate of assistance: 50% or less.
- Excluded costs: routine maintenance of facilities.
