Chaudière-Appalaches
Through the Québec – Chaudière-Appalaches Business Office, the Agency encourages the development of Chaudière-Appalaches business communities by assisting the region’s SMEs with their projects directly. We also assist economic development stakeholders and the economic organizations that support these SMEs.
Regional priorities
For the City of Lévis, which is part of the Quebec Metropolitan Community, the Agency gives priority to projects that foster the development of the following sectors:
- Life sciences, health and nutrition (human health and medical equipment, agrotechnologies and agrifood)
- Applied technologies (optics-photonics, computer-based solutions and computer technologies, security and defense, Green Building)
In the remainder of the Chaudière-Appalaches region, the Agency gives priority to projects that foster the development of the following sectors:
- Agrifood
- Materials processing (secondary wood processing, metal products, composite materials, plastics)
Preference is given to the following types of interventions:
- Productivity support
- Innovation support
- Export support

- Offers professional support and specialized information services on all private and government programs and services to entrepreneurs in Eastern Quebec.
- Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs)
- CFDCs contribute to the economic development of their communities by providing services to enterprises: access to funding, technical assistance and support for local, youth and female entrepreneurship.

- The Centres d'Aide aux Entreprises (CAE) play a role in the economic development of the regions they serve by providing SMEs with financial assistance and consulting services to stimulate the creation and maintenance of jobs.

- Supports SMEs in approving and developing new products or procedures. Financial assistance is awarded after the project has been assessed by an industrial technology advisor.

Offers a range of services to SMEs in the Québec metropolitan region in the areas of export readiness, marketing of new products and services, operational efficiency and innovative startups. Organizes activities (workshops, diagnostics, action plans, trade missions, etc.).

- Support services intended to validate, guide and coach entrepreneurs in their technological development.
- Ag-Bio Centre (french)
- Offers incubator services, such as premises, scientific equipment and business training, to promote the development of enterprises and management knowledge transfer.

- Offers support services to manufacturing SMEs in developing, adjusting and integrating new technologies.
