Nord-du-Québec Business Office
The Agency encourages the development of Nord-du-Québec business communities by assisting the region’s SMEs with their projects directly. We also assist economic development stakeholders and the economic organizations that support these SMEs.
Regional priorities
In the Nord-du-Québec region, the Agency gives priority to projects that foster the development of the following sectors:
- Agri-food
- Renewable energy
- Forest (secondary and tertiary wood processing)
- Mines
- Telecommunications
- Tourism

- Offers information services to businesses from all sectors and at every stage of development. Provides access to information on federal and provincial departments as well as to integrated information products and interactive tools.
- Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs)
- CFDCs contribute to the economic development of their communities by providing services to enterprises: access to funding, technical assistance and support for local, youth and female entrepreneurship.

- Supports SMEs in approving and developing new products or procedures. Financial assistance is awarded after the project has been assessed by an industrial technology advisor.
