The Agency encourages the development of Gaspésie – Îles-de-la-Madeleine business communities by assisting the region’s SMEs with their projects directly. We also assist economic development stakeholders and the economic organizations that support these SMEs.

Regional priorities
In the Gaspésie – Îles-de-la-Madeleine region, the Agency gives priority to projects that foster the development of the following sectors:
- Fishery and aquaculture
- Natural resources
- Tourism
- Agri-food (land and marine products processing and commercialization)
- Sustainable development/green energy

- Ressources Entreprises
- Offers professional support and specialized information services on all private and government programs and services to entrepreneurs in Eastern Quebec.
- Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs)
- CFDCs contribute to the economic development of their communities by providing services to enterprises: access to funding, technical assistance and support for local, youth and female entrepreneurship.

- Supports SMEs in approving and developing new products or procedures. Financial assistance is awarded after the project has been assessed by an industrial technology advisor.
- Québec maritime
- Marketing of North Shore, Lower St Lawrence, Gaspé and Magdalen Islands tourism products on international markets.
- GIMXPORT (french)
- Collaborate in the economic and social development of the Gaspé Peninsula and Madeleine Islands to encourage the increased volume of exportation of products and services of the region.
