The Agency encourages the development of Côte-Nord business communities by assisting the region’s SMEs with their projects directly. We also assist economic development stakeholders and the economic organizations that support these SMEs.

Regional priorities

In the Côte-Nord region, the Agency gives priority to projects that foster the development of the following sectors:

  • Small fruits
  • Natural resources (value-added products: fishery, forest)
  • Tourism
  • Metal fabrication (aluminium, iron)

Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) of NRCLien externe
Supports SMEs in approving and developing new products or procedures. Financial assistance is awarded after the project has been assessed by an industrial technology advisor.
