The Agency encourages the development of Bas-Saint-Laurent business communities by assisting the region’s SMEs with their projects directly. We also assist economic development stakeholders and the economic organizations that support these SMEs.

Regional priorities
In the Bas-Saint-Laurent region, the Agency gives priority to projects that foster the development of the following sectors:
- Bio-resources (forest, peat, bio-food)
- Renewable energy and environment
- Metal products and innovative materials

- Ressources Entreprises
- Offers professional support and specialized information services on all private and government programs and services to entrepreneurs in Eastern Quebec.
- Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs)
- CFDCs contribute to the economic development of their communities by providing services to enterprises: access to funding, technical assistance and support for local, youth and female entrepreneurship.

- Supports SMEs in approving and developing new products or procedures. Financial assistance is awarded after the project has been assessed by an industrial technology advisor.

- With sustainable development in mind, offers forest product processing enterprises scientific and technical assistance, watch and technology transfer services and customized applied research and training services.

- Consulting and coaching services to export SMEs to further their development on international markets.
- Centre spécialisé de technologie physique du Québec inc. (CSTPQ)
- The purpose of this organization is to develop advanced technology products and production processes. It offers enterprises consulting services and a computer-integrated manufacturing development laboratory.
