The Agency encourages the development of Abitibi-Témiscamingue business communities by assisting the region’s SMEs with their projects directly. We also assist economic development stakeholders and the economic organizations that support these SMEs.

In the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region, the Agency gives priority to projects that foster the development of the following sectors:

Community Futures Development Corporations (CFDCs)Lien externe
CFDCs contribute to the economic development of their communities by providing services to enterprises: access to funding, technical assistance and support for local, youth and female entrepreneurship.

Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) of NRCLien externe
Supports SMEs in approving and developing new products or procedures. Financial assistance is awarded after the project has been assessed by an industrial technology advisor.
