The latest Business Contact
event was held on October 14, 2009, in Tadoussac, under the theme
of Economic Diversification: Winning Strategies for
SMEs. No less than 181 business leaders and economic
stakeholders from all over the Côte-Nord region gathered to
take part in the array of activities designed to assist them in
their entrepreneurial endeavours.
Throughout the day, 51 lecturers and experts from various federal departments and agencies, the private sector and academia were on hand to provide information and help entrepreneurs turn their business projects into growth opportunities.
The participants also sat
in on conferences dealing with issues directly related to the
regional economy, such as the future of forestry, challenges facing
the tourism sector, human resources management and agri-food
development.
Entirely dedicated to SMEs, Business Contact events offer entrepreneurs facing regional issues or challenges possible solutions they can use to grow their businesses.
An initiative of Canada Economic Development, the Haute-Côte-Nord Business Contact event was organized in conjunction with the SADC Haute-Côte-Nord and ICI Environnement.
